Imperial Hydra
In the heart of Tya’s frigid tundra, Ymiret ascends to the Imperial Hydra following his rescue from Valderon’s purgatory in the Infernal Volcano. This evolution culminates in a new form of unparalleled majesty and power.
After Ymiret emerged from the fiery crucible with renewed purpose, Eunomia, together with the Watchguard, orchestrated his salvation. But when her divine magic merged with this ancient being, a dazzling spectacle unfolded. Ymiret’s singular essence divided into three, each head crowned with gleaming white scales that shimmered like snow under northern lights. These three heads, representing wisdom, power, and vision, move in harmony, embodying a trinity of strength and enlightenment.
With Anora guiding his way, the Imperial Hydra roams Tya with a renewed vision, his radiant form amidst the desolate expanse sparkling defiantly in the face of the encroaching Tides. Thrice the power, thrice the will.
A Deep Connection
“Its lustrous scales still glint in the moonlight… A living fossil, perfectly preserved. What does it mean to be real, once you have seen the impossible?” — White Tower Scholar
Buried in the tomes of Tya’s history, one may find obscure legends of an ancient dragon race, the alleged progenitors of the great Scalekin people, now said to have been lost to the shadows of time. Though vestiges of these mythic beings remain, scattered about Tya’s unforgiving landscape, little is known of their history, their origin, their kind final fate.
Ymiret remains one of the last fragments of this ancient kin, a primeval being incidentally frozen and trapped in the Northern tundra for eons, seemingly sealed in by some kind of powerful magic force. White Tower scholars theorize that when the Tides were unleashed upon the Tyan continent, powerful magnetic waves were emitted which reverberated and resonated so violently that they stirred the great being from its hibernant state, ultimately liberating it from the depths of its frozen cell.
The nature of Ymiret’s origins remains a mystery, but tales abound of a winged figure who descended from the heavens during his unearthing, a woman both ghastly and ethereal, a sight so stunning she was referred to as the Angel of Death, as witnesses believed she came to deliver this fearsome being from the realm. To their great consternation, however, Anora, The Silver Seraphim, approached the limp dragon with her arms outstretched and embraced him, at first delicately, and then with a deep passion.
Through the infinite void of the ether, Anora had sensed the presence of a powerful entity, and descended from the skies to witness a miracle — to witness the rebirth of an Ancient. Yet, when their eyes met for the first time, the gravity of their connection was astounding. In that eternal moment, the world seemed to fall silent, and remain completely still. It was said their bond was so pure that the sky opened up and the Northern snow turned a silvery-pearlescent, exploding brilliantly in ten thousand hues of color. In an instant, the past and the future, the ethereal and the mortal, the living and the dead, all came crashing together and thundered mightily: A powerful connection had been formed.
Yet, from that day on, Ymiret has endlessly roamed the Northern expanse in search of a world that no longer exists, and a people who have seemingly all but vanished. Together with his sole companion, Anora, their search for answers has only brought them closer together, both in mind and in purpose. For, perhaps with the combined strength of his people, Tya could be saved from the onslaught of the Tides, and the ancient order restored. Alas, the possibility of a deeper connection with the true nature of their world gives them their strength to persist, and pursue…
