Polara Fireheart is a Mythical champion in RAID: Shadow Legends who commands fire and ice, switching between an offensive Base Form and a defensive Alternate Form. Her kit introduces a new debuff, Ensnare, and excels in both PvP and PvE scenarios.
Recruitment
-
Requirement: Complete all Challenges in Faction Wars Hard Mode.
-
Note: Polara is not available through Shards or Events, making her a prestigious reward for dedicated players.
Base Form: Fire-Fueled Offense
Polara’s Base Form is all about dealing massive damage with skills that synergize with HP Burn and Freeze debuffs.
Skills
-
Burning Zeal (Default): A single-target attack with a 25% chance to grant an extra turn. If the target has any debuffs, Polara attacks twice.
-
Faithful Conflagration: Hits a single target three times, each hit reducing Defense and Resistance by 3% (up to 30% total). Each hit ignores 25% of the target’s Defense (doubled with HP Burn or Freeze). If the target is defeated, all enemies receive an unresistible HP Burn for 2 turns.
-
Pyro Maxima (AoE): Attacks all enemies, ignoring Shield, Block Damage, and Unkillable buffs. Deals damage from all active HP Burn debuffs and places a Block Revive debuff on enemies killed with HP Burn or Freeze active.
-
Elemental Mistress (Passive): Increases damage by 25% against targets with HP Burn or Freeze, and by 100% against targets with both. Ignores damage reduction from Freeze debuffs.
-
Metamorph: Switches to Alternate Form and grants an extra turn.
Alternate Form: Icy Defense and Support
Polara’s Alternate Form shifts to crowd control and team support, with skills that protect allies and disrupt enemies.
Skills
-
Glacial Carve: Attacks an enemy and places a 50% Ally Protection buff on a random ally for 2 turns. If the ally already has Ally Protection, it’s applied to another ally. Heals Polara and allies with Ally Protection.
-
Frozen Tendrils: Places Block Debuffs and Strengthen buffs on all allies for 2 turns, and applies the Ensnare debuff on enemies, negating Turn Meter fill effects for 2 turns (unresistible if enemies have HP Burn or Freeze).
-
Iceblade Tempest (AoE): Places a stack of Intercept on all allies, attacks all enemies, and applies an unresistible Freeze debuff.
-
Cyromantic Revival (Passive): Once per round, revives any defeated ally (including Polara) with full HP and a Freeze debuff for 1 turn, granting 90% damage mitigation. All Freeze debuffs on allies in this Form provide 90% damage mitigation.
-
Metamorph: Switches back to Base Form and grants an extra turn.
Aura
-
Effect: Increases allies’ Attack by 40% in Arena Battles.
Gear and Stats
-
Primary Stats: Polara’s damage scales with both Attack and Defense, so prioritize gear that boosts both. Lean slightly toward Defense for survivability.
-
Secondary Stats: Accuracy is crucial to ensure debuffs like Ensnare land consistently, especially without HP Burn or Freeze synergy.
-
Recommended Sets: Savage, Cruel, or Perception for damage; Guardian or Stalwart for defensive builds.
Team Synergy
Polara shines when paired with champions who apply HP Burn or Freeze debuffs consistently, such as Ignatius or Sicia Flametongue for HP Burn, or Tomb Lord for Freeze. These synergies amplify her damage in Base Form and ensure Ensnare lands in Alternate Form.
Best Uses
-
Arena and Siege: Polara’s high damage, crowd control, and revival mechanics make her a PvP powerhouse.
-
PvE: Her AoE attacks and debuff synergy clear tough enemy waves in Dungeons and Faction Wars.
Tips
-
Time Pyro Maxima to maximize HP Burn damage and secure Block Revive kills.
-
Use Iceblade Tempest to apply Freeze, then switch to Base Form for boosted damage.
-
Prioritize Accuracy to land Ensnare when debuff conditions aren’t met.
