A significant update to the Bleed system is scheduled for June 4, 2025 (subject to change), aimed at making it easier for players to incrementally progress and star up their banner Champions. Below is a detailed breakdown of the planned changes and their expected impact.
Key Changes
Extra Mythic+ Shards
-
New Feature: Each time you pull a regular 10-shard Mythic Champion or Mythic Legacy Piece, you will receive 5 bonus Mythic+ Shards for the current banner Champion.
-
Impact: This addition will help players accumulate shards faster, enabling quicker progression toward unlocking and starring up Champions.
Lowered Mythic+ Unlock Requirements
-
Adjustment: The number of shards needed to unlock a Mythic+ Champion (officially termed “Limited Mythic Champions” in-game) will be reduced from 40 shards to 25 shards.
-
Star-Up Requirements: The shard requirements for starring up a Mythic+ Champion will remain unchanged.
-
Duplicate Pulls: Drawing a duplicate Mythic+ Champion you already own will now grant 25 shards instead of 40. However, players are still guaranteed at least 40 shards every 4 pities due to the bonus 5 shards from pulling regular Mythics or Legacy Pieces.
Increased Odds for Mythic Champions and Legacy Pieces
-
Change: The odds of drawing Mythic Champions and Legacy Pieces for each Hypertime Tracker will be slightly increased.
-
Note: The increase is minimal (fractions of a percent), so players should temper expectations but can look forward to a slightly improved chance of obtaining these items.
Player Compensation
-
Compensation Details: For each Mythic+ Champion unlocked before this update, players will receive 75 Worldline Particles via in-game mail.
-
Reason: Previously, unlocking a Mythic+ Champion required 15 extra shards (40 total). With the new 25-shard requirement, these extra shards are being converted into Worldline Particles to ensure players aren’t left with unusable shards.
Expected Results
The adjustments are designed to make progression smoother, particularly at lower star levels:
-
Initial Star Levels (Blue and Below): Players will be able to star up Champions more frequently. For example, upon unlocking a Champion, you’ll likely have enough shards to reach 3 White stars. Pulling one more “regular” pity will grant the 5 bonus shards needed to advance to 4 White stars, and so on. This contrasts with the current all-or-nothing progression (e.g., from zero stars to 5 White, then to 2 Blue).
-
High Star Levels: The experience will remain largely unchanged, as players will still average approximately 40 shards every 4 pities.
Clarifications
-
Terminology: “Mythic+” is a community term for what the game officially calls “Limited Mythic Champions.” This update applies to these specific Champions.
-
Questions?: The developers encourage players to ask questions if the changes are unclear. Recurring questions may be compiled into a follow-up FAQ for further clarity.
These changes aim to enhance the player experience by making Mythic+ Champion progression more accessible and rewarding. Stay tuned for the update on June 4, 2025, and check in-game mail for your Worldline Particle compensation if you’ve previously unlocked Mythic+ Champions!
